Shine with the Goldsmiths’ Centre: A Four-Month Training Programme for Emerging Jewellery and Silversmithing Businesses
We at the Goldsmiths’ Centre are excited to invite early-career jewellery and silversmithing designer-makers to apply for Shine 2025. This free, four-month programme is designed to support up to 10 talented individuals, providing expert guidance on how to effectively present, sell, and showcase new collections both online and in person.
At the Goldsmiths’ Centre, we created Shine 2025 specifically for makers who are in the first five years of their business journey. Throughout the programme, participants will gain valuable insights through a blend of live webinars, self-paced learning modules, and practical assignments. We’ll help you develop the skills to confidently talk about your work, capture it beautifully through photography and video, master online and in-person selling strategies, and understand how to price and prepare your collection for showcasing at selling events. You will also have the opportunity to present your creations through our online shop and platforms, culminating in a vibrant live pop-up selling event at the Goldsmiths’ Centre in September 2025.

We are proud to have supported past Shine alumni, including Xinyin Chen, William Sharp, Kumiko Kihara, Poppy Norton, Caitlin Murphy, Makila Nsika, and Cameron and Breen, who have since made remarkable strides within the jewellery and silversmithing industry. Many have secured prestigious commissions, awards, and opportunities to exhibit at renowned events such as the Goldsmiths’ Fair at Goldsmiths’ Hall.

Shine is the best way to find your audience, to market yourself, and to explain your practice better to others. Everyone at the Goldsmiths’ Centre and the other Shine participants are here to help you step outside of your comfort zone.
