Getting Started 2020 Course Participants Announced

Today, we are announcing the names of the emerging designer-makers in jewellery and silversmithing that have been selected for our free week-long introduction to business course Getting Started.

The course, which is open to recent graduates from a certified UK Precious Metal course, will also see two former Goldsmiths’ Company Apprentices, jewellers Abigail Buckingham and Sharon Alvarez from EC One, take part for the first time this January.

The successful cohort, who will be attending a series of immersive business skills workshops and presentations led by industry experts, includes:

Getting Started's 2020 participants will be addressed in a key-note speech by world-renowned British designer Solange Azagury-Partridge and mentored by a line-up of industry experts, which includes Jos and Alison Skeates (Founders of EC One); Lorna Watson (Former Creative Director of Astley Clarke); Zoe Cooper (Luxury Retail Sales Trainer); Rachael Taylor (Freelance Jewellery Journalist and Co-Founder of The Jewellery Cut), Ben Crump (VIPA Designs) and Martyn Pugh (Gold and Silversmith).
