Creative Links: Galleries & Shops - Collaborating with the Right Ones for your Business
As part of the Creative Links talks series, a leading panel of gallerists and craft retail experts from Contemporary Applied Arts (CAA), The New Craftsmen, The Creative Edit, EC One and the Barbican discuss and give their advice on how to find the right gallery, shop or pop-up to stock your jewellery or silversmithing collections.
They explain that understanding how to supply and collaborate with different types of retailers will help you find the right relationships for you and your work.
Chaired by Charlotte Dew, Programme Manager at the Goldsmiths’ Centre, this Creative Links talk explores the characteristics of different types of retail relationships. From making the right approach, to understanding the position you are in to meeting demand and different customer bases, each panellist shares their own experience of working and sourcing new makers.
The Goldsmiths’ Centre would like to thank the panellists:
- Christine Lalumia, Executive Director of Contemporary Applied Arts
- Kathy Shenoy, Head of Product and Maker Relationships, The New Craftsmen
- Charlene Lam, The Creative Edit
- Jo Davis, Head of Retail, Barbican
- Jos Skeates, EC One
