Join art historian and author, Rachel Church, in this online talk exploring how famous artists from the Renaissance to Modernism have approached jewellery design and making as an extension of their artistic practice and creative development.
Jewellery itself is undoubtedly an art form and throughout history artists from other disciplines have tried their hand at jewellery. Discover designs by artists like Albrecht Dürer and Hans Holbein to the creations of Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali, this talk will look at how jewellery and art have intersected in creative and surprising ways.
There will be the opportunity to ask questions and join in the conversation.

FAQs
Our events are held both in person at the Goldsmiths’ Centre and online, allowing our community across the UK to connect, share ideas, and learn from industry experts. To encourage open, honest discussion and protect confidentiality, we do not routinely record or broadcast these sessions - unless they are being used specifically for teaching purposes. We regularly revisit popular topics, so there will be future opportunities to engage with them.
We are committed to making our training programmes and events as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you have any access requirements, please inform us as early as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements. While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, advance notice is essential to ensure we can provide appropriate support.
