Are you passionate about sharing your knowledge and experience in business planning, financial management, marketing, or product sales channel development? Do you want to support emerging businesses turning their plans into reality and make a lasting impact on the jewellery and silversmithing industry? Become a mentor and embark on a rewarding journey that benefits both you and your mentee.

Join our one-hour online session, where our team will introduce the Goldsmiths’ Centre's Business Mentoring Programme and explain what volunteering involves. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions.

If you can't attend but would like to learn more, email applications@goldsmiths-centre.org with your name or fill in our expression of interest form before 5pm on Sunday 27 July 2025 at www.goldsmiths-centre.org/learn-and-upskill/business-mentoring

FAQs:

For emerging businesses, it is easier to spark ideas, reflect, solve problems and build confidence by speaking to others about their plans. This programme brings together:

  • Our mentees: Our Business Mentoring Programme is open (via email invite) to emerging UK based businesses that have completed a Business Diagnostic and Advice session for Jewellers and Silversmiths in the past 12 months.
  • Our mentors: Many of our mentors are members of the Goldsmiths’ Company, a membership organisation in existence for almost 700 years. Our mentors are either highly engaged with the industry or work directly in it as practising craftspeople, and designers or in support functions across retail, auction houses, the arts, marketing and education.

We do not record or broadcast our events to foster open and honest discussions. We can, however, share the PowerPoint presentation shown during this talk and if there is high demand, we will consider running this session again.

Feel free to contact our team at applications@goldsmiths-centre.org with your name to register your interest.

We are committed to making our training programmes and events as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you have any access requirements, please inform us as early as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements. While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, advance notice is essential to ensure we can provide appropriate support.
