What is Spotlighting Getting Started?
Spotlighting Getting Started is open to UK based early career designer makers who have successfully completed our one-week introduction to business course, Getting Started Online. This opportunity is perfect if you are ready to start putting what you have learnt during the course into action.
Delivered through live webinars, self-paced training and assignments, the course covers:
- how to prepare yourself to be interviewed.
- how to photograph your work.
- how to promote your work through social media.
Plus, you will put what you have learnt into action through:
- a live Meet the Maker online event.
- promotion on our Instagram channel (@gsmithscentre).
- a physical exhibition at the Goldsmiths’ Centre.
Why should I apply?
Spotlighting Getting Started will help you to continue your learning journey beyond the scope of Getting Started Online and to network and make life-long connections with other early career designer makers. This initiative will give you the confidence to take up follow-on opportunities, like Shine, the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s new talent showcase, or our Business Diagnostic and Advice sessions.
I have reached a point where I am ready to put myself and my work out there! The week of Getting Started Online cemented my vision for my business and the further training and promotion of Spotlighting has been the perfect next step in my development..
