Discover new talent

Shine 2020, the annual new talent showcase in jewellery and silversmithing, returns this year as a digital-only event. Presented by the Goldsmiths’ Centre, it will celebrate up and coming UK designer makers and present eleven new collections hand-picked for their talent and skill.

They will share their collections and stories at an online Meet the Makers special preview on 17 September 2020. A programme of talks and events will follow, enabling discerning shoppers to purchase original and high-quality collections through the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s e-shop.

This year's Shine makers are:

  • Caitlin Hegney
  • Daisy Grice
  • Ellys May Woods
  • Francesca Urciuoli
  • Heidi Carthew
  • Katharina Kraus
  • Katie Watson
  • Lyndsay Fairley
  • Megan Brown
  • Sarah Shelton-Palmer
  • Yilin Wang

Every purchase of their work made is reinvested to support emerging and thriving careers. Each maker will be supported through an intensive online skills training programme, delivered by the Goldsmiths' Centre, and designed to get them market ready for the opening.
