Goldsmiths’ Hall is well known as the historic home of the Goldsmiths’ Company, in the heart of the City of London. However, its survival – like that of nearby St Paul’s Cathedral – was precarious during the Blitz of World War Two which destroyed much of the City.

In this event, Deputy Librarian Sophia Tobin will uncover the story of the Goldsmiths’ Company during the war, and celebrate the men and women who saved Goldsmiths’ Hall from destruction.
