As your career as a creative practitioner develops, it is essential to continue to be inspired, learn and choose how and when to develop your work. In this evening talk, experienced artist, maker, tutor Caroline Broadhead will share her experiences, exploring the role that collaboration has played in the development of her practice, and the ways in which she has sought and found inspiration.

When does the talk start?

Exchange innovative ideas and network with your peers with a glass of wine, a beer or soft drink from 6pm. The talk starts at 6.30pm.

Who is the speaker?

For more than forty-five years, Caroline Broadhead has run her own practice exploring objects that come into contact with and interact with the body. Starting off with jewellery, the work has since developed into larger scale work, exploring outer extents of the body as seen through light, shadows and reflections and movement. The work operates with a number of contexts, spanning jewellery, performance and art. Significant elements of her work include the use of historic buildings as both inspiration and location and collaborations with choreographers which build intimate and highly charged atmospheres in dance performances.
