Drawing on the Central Saint Martins Museum & Study Collection of art and design, this hands-on workshop will introduce the concept of ‘reading’ objects for creative inspiration, through close, forensic study.

This session is led by Judy Willcocks, Head of Museum & Study Collection at Central Saint Martins and a Senior Research Fellow specialising in object-based learning and will provide the opportunity to explore a range of museum objects, from the collection which includes art and design objects, textiles, prints, books and much more, through drawing, using synthetic trigger mechanisms, such as subtraction and repetition, as a way of generating ideas.

Where do I meet the group for the workshop?

Participants should report to the Central Saint Martins Reception Desk, on the right-hand side as you enter the building.

Who is the speaker?
